Single Vision Lenses
Single vision lenses are lenses used for either a distance prescription or a reading prescription. You may choose from different materials such as Plastic, High Index, Polycarbonate, Or glass.
Bifocal lenses
Bi-focal lenses are lenses that serve the dual purpose of distance and reading prescription in one single lens design. They come in many different shapes and sizes. Most common are flat top 28, flat top 35, and excecutive. Bifocals also come in the same materials such as plastic, high Index, polycarbonate, transition, Or glass.
Tri-focal lenses are lenses that have the same features as a bi-focal lens with the addition of a 3rd section which allows for intermediate ranges to be clear, Such as auto speedometers and grocery store shelves. Tri-focals come in the same materials such as plastic, high Index, polycarbonate, transition, Or glass.
Progressive Lenses
Progressive lenses, also called no-line bi-focals or tri-focals have almost the same features as a tri-focal except for 2 major points. One is that there is no lines. This makes the "bi-focal" not visible to others. The second is that the intermediate range has many steps of intermediate power to allow for a wider range of vision. This makes the Progressive lens one of the best lenses available for any multi-focal wearer. You get vanity and function all in one lens. Progressives come in the same materials such as plastic, high Index, polycarbonate, transition, Or glass.
